In the green rolling hills of East Sussex are Phil and Steve, better known to most as Bignose & Beardy. Together, they’ve cultivated something more than cider. It’s a way of life, rooted in community, sustainability, and a quietly distinctive sense of style. They make cider, yes. But they also tell stories, host gatherings, and remind us that style and substance are best enjoyed together.

In the world of horticulture, few stories unfold quite like that of Guy Watts. Garden designer, managing director, and the owner of Architectural Plants—a 32-acre nursery in West Sussex that’s home to over 40,000 plants and, notably, some of the largest pots you’re ever likely to see. His journey is one of quiet determination, sharp intuition, and a deep, long standing relationship with the natural world.

Chris Edgcumbe-Rendle is in hot water. As he has been for most of his adult life. Or rather, he’s in the business of concocting endlessly varied infusions for turning hot water into award-winning beverages that delight, ignite, or subdue the senses — depending on which brew you reach for.

We visited potter, Jon Barrett-Danes at his busy workshop in Hampshire, England. Ceramics have been in Jon's family for five generations. Captivated by animal forms, a sense of humour and a keen observation of nature, are the driving forces behind his figurative creations.

Set back from the iconic 'White Cliffs of Dover' where Kent's North Downs drop into the English Channel, Folkestone is a South East England coastal town that attracts a wealth of ex-Londoners who want the cultural vibrancy without the sprawl, the pollution, and the sky-high prices. With streets that are bursting with color, a thriving creative community, and a wealth of options for arts, and entertainment, it's easy to see why Peter ended up here.

Hove (_“actually”_) seafront is essentially Brighton without the hordes of seasonal tourists, making it perfect for a lesser-populated summer amble or beach barbecue with friends, as well as a bracing winter walkies with one’s four-legged best friend. That’s where you’ll find Maxwell Alderton most days, with his miniature poodle Pip. That is, when they're not hard at work at Peter Christian HQ, in the surprisingly industrious village of Partridge Green in West Sussex.
